Clair M. Finkenbinder III

Centric Financial Corporation, Inc. and Centric Bank (OTC Pink: CFCX) has appointed Clair M. Finkenbinder III as Executive Vice President – Chief Information Officer & Director of Operations to drive its bank-wide technology strategy and lead a digital transformation that meets the growth, convenience, and information needs of its customers.

"Clair brings more than 27 years of technology experience to our customers and team, and his expertise will be transformative on every level. In our information age, the technology we use is critical to our bank's success," says Patricia (Patti) A. Husic, President & CEO of Centric Bank. "Clair's strength is finding and implementing the new technologies and platforms that align with our business strategies and goals. He has the rare combination of business acumen and organizational leadership with a technologist's twist."

Finkenbinder will begin his position as CIO on December 18, 2017 with deliverables to modernize the bank's IT environment to drive business growth, strengthen and secure the bank's digital presence, and identify opportunities to leverage technology as a differentiator. Innovation, expanded customer initiatives, multichannel distribution, digitization, service development, and personalization will also be areas of focus.

"A technologist who differentiates our institution with a stronger, digital client experience at every touchpoint is a business advantage," says Husic. "One of our greatest assets with Clair is his high-level experience with multinational corporations like Dell, as well as his mastery of global technology—the trends, the strategies, and most importantly, the end users. Our double-digit growth coupled with an intense regulatory environment, cybersecurity protections, and the pace at which we understand and attract a new generation of financial consumers requires the talents of a technical solutions expert, not a banker."

"My chief goal is to enhance the technology platforms for Centric Bank clients and take the bank to the leading edge of service in our digital age. We have several key initiatives planned for the next two years, including a full-scale system conversion, a new mobile banking app that helps us compete with the global banks on technology and outperform them on personal attention and service," says Finkenbinder.

Customers will be able to open deposit accounts online or from the mobile app, as well as apply for mortgages and settle loans with an e-signature. Full-service banking means the convenience of a branch, connections with decision makers, and one-click access to services.

"The new technology applications will drive internal efficiencies, accelerate clients' turnaround times, and enable our Centric team to be even more productive," says Finkenbinder.

Finkenbinder was previously Systems Engineer Director – MidMarket East Division for Dell EMC Corporation for over 11 years, where he led a team of 65 information technology managers and professionals and was recognized as one of Dell's Most Trusted Leaders for four consecutive years.

A veteran with the U.S. Air Force, Finkenbinder served for six years with the Cryptographic Telecommunications Operations Center for the National Security Agency. During his service in the Air Force, he was recognized as a BMT Honor Graduate, AFTT Honor Graduate, received the Joint Service Achievement Medal, the National Defense Medal, and the USAF Good Conduct Medal. Finkenbinder is a graduate of the Air Force Technical Training School as a Data Communications Specialist, and Anne Arundel Community College in Information Systems Management, and holds numerous certifications in the technology arena.
