Morgan Properties and Sixers Innovation Lab unite to support entrepreneurial spirit in New Jersey
Morgan Properties, one of the country’s largest real estate investment and management companies,has partnered with the Sixers Innovation Lab Crafted by Kimball to provide free housing for members of the inaugural startup companies. The complimentary stay includes access to the apartment community’s outdoor swimming pool and volleyball court, fitness center, tennis courts, park and playground, miniature golf course, dog park, and basketball court. The property is located within a 20-minute drive to the Innovation Lab and offers easy access to public transportation.
As part of the partnership, Morgan Properties had a presence at the first stop on the 76ers’ Summer Shore Tour Presented by Dunkin Donuts on August 22 in Ocean City, New Jersey.
Located at the base of the Business Operations Facility at the Philadelphia 76ers Training Complex, the Sixers Innovation Lab is an 8,000-square-foot space that provides speed and flexibility; individualized, industry-leading consulting; and investment opportunities to rapidly growing, early-stage startup companies in the consumer product space. It officially opened its doors July 18, 2017 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating fantasy sports lineup recommender Monster Roster, esports training platform U GIT GUD, innovative cat feeder Doc & Phoebe’s Cat Co., and digital cause media company Live Life Nice as the official Sixers Innovation Lab companies.

In addition to free housing, the Sixers Innovation Lab is also providing the startups with free meals; office space furnished by Kimball Office; access to industry experts, executives, and financers; third-party branding, marketing, and legal services; and the opportunity to pitch industry-leading investors and venture capital firms. Other Innovation Lab partners include Maven Creative and Pepper Hamilton. Advisors include The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, StubHub, DraftKings, Rothman Institute, First Round Capital, and NovaCare.
