Pittsburgh-based Cowden Associates, Inc., the leading independent actuarial, compensation, and employee benefits consulting firm in the tri-state region, announces multiple promotions within the company.
Robert Crnjarich, EA, MAAA has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Retirement and Actuarial Services. Bob started with Cowden in 2006 and specializes in providing senior-level consulting to clients and demonstrates his expertise in the financial, regulatory, and accounting demands of clients’ defined benefit, defined contribution, and retiree healthcare plans.
Bradford Rigby, ASA, EA, MAAA has been promoted to Vice President of Retirement and Actuarial Services. Brad started with Cowden in 2010 and his focus involves Taft-Hartley Funds, corporate single-employer plans, and government entities, providing valuation, and consulting services. Brad is recognized for his ability to develop appropriate strategies and studies of deep complexity, utilizing such techniques as stochastic projections and asset/liability forecasting.
Frank M. Canonico, EA, MAAA has been promoted to Director of Retirement and Actuarial Services. Frank started with Cowden in 1994 and is involved in all aspects of pension valuations and the calculation of post-retirement benefit obligations for health and benefit clients. Frank’s focus as an actuary is not just in providing accurate results, but also in the detailed consulting that helps his clients to understand the situations surrounding their benefit programs, so that the desired result of the employee benefit program can be achieved.
Kathy Colbert has been promoted to Manager of Marketing and Communications. Kathy started with Cowden in 2002 and is involved in all aspects of marketing and communications for the firm. Kathy is responsible for all external marketing communications and development of proposals and research. Kathy has a unique understanding of our benefits, retirement, and compensation practices, bringing them all together to tell the Cowden story.
Todd Kordecki has been promoted to Senior Analyst. Todd started with Cowden in 2016 and works on a variety of actuarial initiatives, including data analysis, plan design/termination analysis, annual funding and accounting valuation work, and the preparation of benefit calculations and governmental filings. He also manages client accounts and enjoys partnering with clients, to understand overall objectives and help them achieve their goals.
