Dr. Siva Meiyeppen Named Pediatric Provider for The Eye Institute of Salus University

Siva Meiyeppen, OD, has been named a pediatric provider for The Eye Institute (TEI) of Salus University. Dr. Meiyeppen will oversee optometry students as they provide comprehensive pediatric eye care and binocular vision services during their clinical rotations at TEI.

Dr. Meiyeppen brings a variety of pediatric and vision care experience to her new role. She has held several externships, which included: providing comprehensive eye exams to Chicago public school children through the Illinois Eye Institute; providing contact lens and primary care services at a private practice in Chicago; and treating low vision patients at the Chicago Lighthouse for the Blind and Partially Sighted.

Dr. Meiyeppen received a Bachelor of Science degree in cell biology and genetics from the University of British Columbia. She earned her doctor of optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry and completed her residency in pediatrics and vision therapy at The Eye Institute of Salus University.
