Wisler Pearlstine, LLP is pleased to announce that Brian R. Elias has joined the firm as a partner.

For nearly twenty years, Mr. Elias’ practice has focused on civil and commercial trial and appellate litigation.He has successfully litigatedcomplex business and personal disputes involving diverse areas of the law, including contract disputes, negligence, construction law, bankruptcy,health care, banking, unfair trade practices, trade secrets, non-compete/non-solicitation/non-disclosure agreements, products liability, intellectual property, information technology, environmental law and civil government investigations, including by the SEC. Mr. Elias also has extensive experience from both the plaintiff and defense side in personal injury actions, as well as in the enforcement, opening, striking and collection of judgments. In addition to Mr. Elias’ litigation practice, he regularly counsels business and individual clients on various legal issues important to the client.

Beyond his practice of law, Mr. Elias previously served on the Pennsylvania General Assembly’s Joint State Government Commission’s Advisory Committee on the Consumer Credit Code. The Committee suggested updates to various consumer finance legislation and proposed the merger of all such legislation into a consolidated Consumer Credit Code, which would avoid duplication of Federal law and regulations, and promoted uniformity of law among the states.

A member of the Bar of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Mr. Elias is also admitted to practice before all of the United States District Courtsin Pennsylvania, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States. His professional associations include the Pennsylvania and Montgomery Bar Associations.

Mr. Elias is a 1995 graduate of Lehigh University and a 1998 graduate from Villanova University School of Law. While at Villanova, Mr. Elias served as Project Coordinator of the Global Democracy Project, a program that helped Balkan nations ravaged by war construct a legal information infrastructure utilizing the Internet.
