9/13/16

Offit Kurman has won BizLibrary’s 2016 award for Best New Program Launch. BizLibrary made the announcement at the Excellence in Employee Training Awards luncheon during ALIGN, BizLibrary’s annual conference. Offit Kurman joins four other Excellence in Employee Training Awards winners this year:?Watco Companies, Sachse Construction,?Event Network, and?Red Roof Inn.

Excellence in Employee Training Awards honorees all use BizLibrary’s tools for employee training and development programs. Each organization up for the Best New Program Launch award must meet three criteria:

  1. The program must be in its first year following a completed implementation.
  2. The program best utilizes BizLibrary content and technology.
  3. The program is focused on planning and results.

Offit Kurman competed against two other finalists for the award: Employment Background Investigations, Inc. and Tesoro. The firm was recognized for implementing BizLibrary’s online learning and training content in Offit Kurman University (OKU), an in-house skill enhancement and professional development program. Drawing from BizLibrary’s array of courses, the firm fashioned new learning plans in areas such as leadership, problem solving, and project management, complementing OKU’s existing learning plans for building technological proficiency,

One of the first programs globally to achieve Legal Technology Core Competencies Certification Coalition (LTC4) certification, OKU has earned acclaim from participants and industry observers alike. In recognition of the program’s success, the International Legal Technology Association recently invited Tony Gerdes, Offit Kurman’s Learning and Development Manager, to speak at ILTACON—the association’s annual conference.

Rob Skinner, Offit Kurman Chief Administrative Officer, said that the ALIGN acknowledgment further validates the program’s success.

“With every honor they receive, Offit Kurman University and our Learning and Development team continue to demonstrate their worth to the firm,” Mr. Skinner commented. “We’ve seen the immense positive feedback generated among our employees, and recognition by other learning professionals is very important as well. This latest award further validates that internal feedback and highlights the tremendous efforts of Tony and the rest of the team.”

Shannon Kluczny, Vice President of Client Success at BizLibrary, added: “Our goal with ALIGN is to energize our clients and provide them with shared success stories and best practices from other companies. I think we’ve definitely accomplished that this year!”
