Andrew Olmo has joined the Pittsburgh office of Grant Thornton LLP as a director in the firm’s Risk Advisory Services practice. He has more than 20 years of experience leading national and multinational information technology (IT) audit functions and risk management consulting projects for clients in diverse industries. His practice focus includes IT Audit, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) control services. Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Olmo was a senior information risk officer at BNY Mellon where he evaluated risk issues identified through risk assessments, exceptions to policy and audit/regulatory processes and coordinated with the business and information risk officers to develop or integrate information risk controls to mitigate identified risks.

Olmo has the following certifications: Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) from the Information Systems Audit and Control Association and Certified Risk Professional (CRP) from Bank Administration Institute. Olmo received two master’s degrees (MoIS and MBA) from the University of Pittsburgh and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Duquesne University.
